Rev. Dr. Christian D. Boyd is a nonprofit strategist, humanitarian advisor, and organizational development consultant who works with philanthropists, nonprofit organizations, and international partners to strengthen humanitarian initiatives and responsible charitable giving.
Through CDBoyd LLC, Dr. Boyd assists individuals, family offices, foundations, and mission-driven organizations in identifying credible humanitarian and socioeconomic development projects worldwide. His work focuses particularly on initiatives in Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, helping connect donors with trustworthy organizations working in community development, education, peacebuilding, and humanitarian assistance.

Dr. Boyd currently serves as Pastor of Southminster Presbyterian Church (USA) in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and has spent more than two decades working in nonprofit leadership, education, and organizational development.
He has held regional and national leadership roles within the Presbyterian Church (USA) and has served in positions involving governance, mediation, and institutional leadership. His experience includes advising nonprofit boards, facilitating organizational strategy, and supporting mission-driven institutions as they navigate growth and change.
Dr. Boyd has also been elected to serve on the Advisory Committee on the Constitution of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA), where he contributes to constitutional interpretation and guidance on governance within one of the largest Protestant denominations in the United States.
Global Humanitarian and Development Engagement
In addition to his pastoral and consulting work, Dr. Boyd is actively involved in humanitarian and socio-economic development initiatives internationally.
He serves as Adontehene (Chancellor General) and Chief of Arms of the Royal House of Sefwi Obeng-Mim in Ghana, where he works alongside traditional leadership and charitable partners to support development initiatives in the Western North Region. Through the Oheneba Foundation, he assists in projects that address education, community infrastructure, and local economic development.
Dr. Boyd also serves as Grand Chancellor of the Sovereign Imperial and Royal House of Ghassan, an international humanitarian organization in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. The organization supports vulnerable Christian communities in the Middle East and engages in humanitarian and peacebuilding initiatives in partnership with organizations in the region, including projects in the Republic of Lebanon.
Through these networks, Dr. Boyd frequently works at the intersection of philanthropy, international partnerships, and humanitarian development.
Education and Professional Credentials
Dr. Boyd holds a Doctor of Ministry in Congregational Mission and Leadership from Luther Seminary and a Master of Divinity in Practical Theology and Pastoral Leadership from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
He also holds a master’s degree in Business Administration and Coaching and Mindfulness, with specialization in Innovation and Project Management, from Universidad Isabel I in Spain.
Additional professional training includes graduate certificates in Mediation and Negotiation from Northwestern University and Paralegal Studies from George Mason University, as well as executive coursework in public leadership, diplomacy, and human rights through programs affiliated with the Harvard Kennedy School and the Global Diplomatic Forum in London.
